Amaranth Bio – Amaranthus hypochondriacus
Stattliche Pflanze mit rötlich-violettem Stängel, Blattadern und imposanten dunkelroten Blütenständen. Die Blätter kann man wie Spinat zubereiten, die Körner sind als Pop-Amaranth eine beliebte Müslizutat. Aus dem Mehl lassen sich auch Brote und Fladen backen. Samenfest.
Aussaat:
Mitte April bis Ende Mai direkt ins Freiland.
Mind. 40 cm Pflanzabstand. Je weiter der Pflanzabstand, desto prächtiger die Pflanze.
Standort:
Wärmeliebend, vollsonnig bis halbschattig. Ein windgeschützter Standort ist empfehlenswert.
Ernte:
September bis Oktober
