Heil- und Duftpflanze, ca. 50 cm hoch. Mehrjährig, Staude, Halbstrauch.
Aussaat:
Dezember bis März, Vorkultur empfohlen. Lichtkeimer. Wechseltemperatur bricht Keimruhe (20 – 30 °C).
Jungpflanzen pikieren. Lavendel hat eine langsame Jugendentwicklung, ab Mai auspflanzen.
Pflanzabstand 30 cm in der Reihe und zwischen den Reihen.
Standort:
Bevorzugt trockene, kalkreiche, leichte, durchlässige Standorte auch in mittleren Höhenlagen.
